Int.Ch Pawnee's All That 'N' More CGC,TDI (Am. pointed)

*NEWS FLASH*
At the age of 9.5 years Ally made a reappearance in the show ring, and not just any show but the Golden Retriever Club of America Eastern Regional on April 18th, 2008 and thrilled us by going Best Veteran in Show.  All I can say is "she is all that 'n' more"!

Ally came from my good friend and respected breeder,Toni Norton of Pawnee Goldens. Ally is a great all around girl, with a quiet confidence about her. She weighs in at approximately 62 pounds and stands 21 1/2 inches at the wither.  She is a medium gold color and carries a very correct coat.  Medium bone, balanced angles and lovely neck into shoulder assembly.

Ally has done very well the few times she has been shown, picking up 9 points towards her American Championship with a JAM (Judges Award of Merit) along the way.

After a seasonal break from the ring, we returned with a bang, only to learn Ally had decided she preferred her therapy work with children to the show ring.  Ally has worked with Special Ed kids at the local middle school as well as visited the elementary schools in the area often to help educate the children about proper pet care.  She knows several hand signals or signs that she had to learn to work with the deaf children and also has a very special way with the Autistic children who seem to have a language all their own, yet somehow she understands.

Ally was also part of the team of TDI (Therapy Dogs International) dogs sent to the Pentagon Family Assistance Center after the 9-11 attack.  She helped comfort families of those lost from both the Pentagon as well as the flight that struck it.  Ally's soft coat was able to absorb countless tears and her  dark brown eyes told them that she would stay with them until they were able to let 'her' go.  I must admit that this was my proudest moment.  All the ribbons in the world wouldn't have been worth the comfort she gave to those men, women and children during those weeks that we visited and I felt honored to have been her chauffeur.  I told people as they patted us on the shoulder for a job well done, "I didn't do anything, Ally did all the hard work".

Ally was bred and produced 2 normal sized litters and a singleton boy.  She excelled at her job and has sent 14 well adjusted,  exceptionally pretty puppies out into the world.  Ally seems to pass on her great temperament, lovely side gate and good looks to her 'kids'.  Since being spayed Ally has remained the queen of the house taking the most overstuffed dog bed, welcoming any guests 2 or 4 legged and overseeing the raising of the newest generation of Steadmor puppies.  Ally produced Can/Am Ch. Steadmor's Uptown Girl, Can. Ch. Steadmor's NY State Of Mind, Am.Ch.Steadmor's Destined For Questan and Steadmor Winyah's North Jetty CD.

Ally has never disappointed me, I have heard her called a 'special dog', and I can assure you, she is.
